Should the XML button go to a valid link now? I got an error.
At least on my machine (and that of my webmaster) it does go to a valid link, maintained by FeedBurner.com. RSS is working on my reader of choice (My Yahoo!).
Progress! Now instead of an error I get some automated content negotiation thing and a web page that says the exact same URL will work in any RSS reader. In any other blog I've tried I get the real XML which is what I was looking for. Yet I am unable to use that URL in my reader, apparently since the automated content negotiation is having a problem and/or my reader is having a problem. I'll have to track down the problem somehow.
The "XML" button links to FeedBurner page with the error "HTTP Status 404 - The feed uri is not found". However, the atom feed works.
Unfortunately is misspelled. What happens to any legal document if there is spelling errors?
Anonymous at 3:10 pm. I'll get someone to look at this issue. Thanks for the head's up.
Anonymous at 3:10 pm. Great question! And I get to use the attorney's favorite answer: It depends.
If the misspelling happens before a judge, you'll be given the once over and maybe dressed down.
If your client sees it in a contract, your client may think you aren't worth what they are paying you.
If it goes to the interpretation of the contract, then the judge is to look at the intended meaning, so you're probably OK.
If it happens on my blog, I just go in and change the word.
By the way, it's if there ARE spelling errors. :)
Hey Paul,
I'm really interested in your work and hence added the RSS feed but the one you posted on the main page (XML button) doesn't work in my client. The atom.xml by Anonymous here above works though. Could you please add that one as well at the main page? This thread will bump off and so it'll be harder for people to read this thread if the standard one doesn't work. In any case i sure know i appreciate having a RSS feed for this blog, thanks!
PS: I'm already following Berkman, Greplaw, Lawmeme, Groklaw which are also quite interesting, but also not always by lawyers or about F/OSS...
Thanks to everyone for their patience while we get the RSS feed working properly. We've had some fits and starts with this technology (and currently we have an error that we're having trouble reproducing). We're working on it....
I'm told the XML RSS feed works now. Please try it out and let me know if there are other problems. Thanks for your patience.
